Position: Educational Psychologist

Location: Surrey

Contract: Permanent (3 days per week)

Salary: £47,934 - £50,360 per annum FTE (this role is 3 days per week), depending on experience (actual £28,758 to £30,216)

Working Arrangements: Term time (plus three weeks -worked flexibly across the year).

Satis Educationare working in partnership with our client trust in Surrey, to recruit an Educational Psychologist. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Educational Psychologist who enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team to assess the educational needs of children with SEND. The multi-disciplinary team includes specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, an occupational therapist and an educational psychologist.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have considerable post qualification experience as well as experience working in an educational setting.
  • Have a good knowledge of the range of specialist educational provisions in Surrey and the surrounding counties (this would be a distinct advantage)
  • Be an enthusiastic, passionate, and committed Educational Psychologist, who enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team to assess the educational needs of children with SEND.

The assessment centre has two well stocked playrooms, dedicated office space and on site free parking. The team benefit from administrative and clerical support as well as time from an intern (usually a psychology or linguistics student). The assessment centre is open term time only.

The successful candidate must hold;

  • A Psychology degree (or BPS equivalent)
  • A professional qualification in Educational Psychologist (doctorate, masters or equivalent)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council

It is a non-maintained day and residential school for pupils aged between 4 - 11 years, who have severe and complex speech, language and communication difficulties together with other learning and/or behavioural difficulties. Working collaboratively as part of strong and supportive multi-disciplinary team of teachers, therapists, learning support assistants and care officers we create stimulating learning environments, where all pupils are enabled to communicate as effectively as possible, individuals are valued and achievement is celebrated.
