We are looking for EHC Plan Writers to join a Greater Manchester based local authority. In order to be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record working within SEN in a local authority setting, along with plan writing experience.

Some highlights:

- Hybrid role with a couple days in the office

- 12 months initial contract

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Statutory work relating to EHC needs assessment, planning and review in accordance with legislative requirements and local policy and practice.
  • Interpret sensitive and complex information from professional assessments related to individual children’s special educational needs, health requirements, and social care needs.
  • Proficient in writing clear, concise, and accurate EHC plans.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Experience working in a local authority setting is essential
