Our client, a manufacturing business in Rotherham, seek to appoint a number of Assembly Fitters to their production teams. This is a site based position without travel. The appointed Assembly Fitters will be building a range of electro-mechanical products from scratch. You will select parts, follow engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble and test equipment ready for it to be shipped to the customer. You will receive an excellent salary for a days (7-5) based role in a positive atmosphere working for a large manufacturing business with excellent prospects. Previous experience of electro-mechanical build processes would be advantageous.

Assembly Fitter - Role and Responsibilities - Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Production / Manufacturing

* Building new equipment according to engineering drawings and build instructions
* Post build testing of completed equipment
* Report writing on faults as appropriate after analysing for root cause of failure after testing
* Responsible for the general cleanliness and care of personal workbench area and that of the main workshop

Assembly Fitter - Skills and Abilities - Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Production / Manufacturing

* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification would be appreciated
* Prior experience of building electro-mechanical equipment
* Able to carry out testing and fault finding
