Electrical Engineer / Electrician / M&E / Manufacturing Site
Electrical Engineer who has a minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) with some basic mechanical experience is required for a well-established and UK’s leading manufacturer of window blind fabrics and systems based in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
SALARY: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Stockport, Greater Manchester (SK4)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday, 07:30hrs - 16:30hrs

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical Engineerwho has a minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) with some basic mechanical experience.
Working as an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of fault diagnosing, electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of the machinery and equipment within the Fabrics Production Department.
As an Electrical Engineer you will carry out electrical/mechanical installation work for new plant, machinery, equipment and services and will assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the department.

DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Electrical Engineer will include:
- Maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly
- Carry out electrical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services
- Be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the Production Manager
- Carry out portable/fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly
- Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery and other electrical equipment
ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
- Apprentice Trained (or equivalent)
- Some basic Mechanical experience
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience of working in a factory environment
- BS 7671 18th Edition
- Electrical inspection and testing qualification
- PAT Testing
- IPAF
