Electrical Engineer - Industrial Machinery
Location: Wednesbury, Sandwell
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Job Type: Full Time - Permanent
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
About the Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our production machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Promptly responding to production breakdowns.
- Supporting the repair and maintenance of plant machinery, including hydraulics and PLCs.
- Reducing plant breakdowns through proactive maintenance.
- Designing and developing new machinery installations.
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are upheld.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date drawings and paperwork.
- Performing planned maintenance checks.
- Undertaking emergency repairs as necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Electrician in the industrial sector, particularly with machinery and plants.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.
- Experience with power press machinery is a plus.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- 18th Edition certification.
- C&G 2391-52 certification.
- CSCS card.
- Strong ability to read and work with engineering/technical drawings.
