Electrical Engineer

Location: West Bromwich, Sandwell

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our production machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promptly responding to production breakdowns.
  • Supporting the repair and maintenance of plant machinery, including hydraulics and PLCs.
  • Reducing plant breakdowns through proactive maintenance.
  • Designing and developing new machinery installations.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are upheld.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date drawings and paperwork.
  • Performing planned maintenance checks.
  • Undertaking emergency repairs as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Electrician in the industrial sector, particularly with machinery and plants.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.
  • Experience with power press machinery is a plus.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition certification.
  • C&G 2391-52 certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Strong ability to read and work with engineering/technical drawings.
