Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts with a mixture of days and nights
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 DOE

Job Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Electrical Maintenance and Repair:
    • Conduct routine maintenance, fault finding, and repair on a wide range of electrical equipment including conveyors, motors, sensors, and control panels.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
    • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems and reduce unexpected failures.
  • Installation and Commissioning:
    • Install, commission, and decommission electrical equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and company requirements.
    • Assist with the installation of new machinery and upgrade of existing systems to improve production efficiency and safety.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure proper use and care of electrical equipment.
    • Work closely with other engineers and departments to support production needs and project initiatives.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
    • Prepare reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and downtime incidents.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Familiarity with a range of electrical equipment and tools used in food manufacturing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour shift pattern including days and nights.
  • High level of attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
