Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer: our client is a leader within their niche area of electrical engineering and has a large and specialised design team alongside on site manufacturing capabilities. With recently won new contracts they wish to expand their electrical engineering team with an additional electrical engineer. To enjoy this role you need to have at least two years' experience of theoretical electrical engineering (CAD work, for electrical distribution systems and complex wiring drawings) and good practical skills (on completion of the design stage you'll be support the production teams who assemble the products with hands-on advice). As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for design/development, modification and evaluation of the overall electrical system primarily made up of electrical and electronic parts, components or controls/integrated circuitry for hardware and/or other systems. 

Electrical Engineer - What You’ll Do… Design Engineer, Controls, PLC, Electrical Distribution Systems, Wiring, Electronic

• Generate electrical design, block diagrams, and schematics for the system
• Specify and select commercial (“off the shelf”) electrical wires and cables 
• Design and implement test setups for component (e.g. motor, power supply), boards, and subsystem level testing and qualification as appropriate
• Hands on: Prototype, test, troubleshoot, debug, and qualify all electrical subsystems, components, and cables
• Develop the required documentations during the development and for transfer to manufacturing (schematics, diagrams, BOM, test procedures, …)
• Advocate electrical needs for projects and negotiating trade-offs across other engineering disciplines

Electrical Engineer - What you will Bring… Design Engineer, Controls, PLC, Electrical Distribution Systems, Wiring, Electronic

• A Qualification in an Electrical Engineering related discipline 
• Experience with minimum of one product life cycle (from concept to production) as a key contributor 
• Knowledge and expertise with cable and wire layout and management
• CAD software skills (AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.) for cables, harness, and circuit design
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Order processes and documentation 
• Product Engineering and sustaining engineering experience
• Make simple circuit designs and updating complex schematics/designs
