Howden Joinery is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our site in Runcorn, Cheshire.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will have completed an engineering apprenticeship, have a background in maintenance within a manufacturing organisation, and have experience in a proactive safety environment.

In this role, you will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, services, utilities, and improvement projects and support reactive breakdown maintenance as required.

Pay rate and shift pattern:

  • £54,968.16 (Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance) + monthly production bonus 
  • 40 hours per week (2 days and 2 nights (4 on / 4 off)

What do you need to qualify for the Electrical Engineer:

  • Time served Electrical Engineer with experience working in a FMCG maintenance role 
  • Experience of CNC machinery 
  • Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, Beckhoff PLC, Pilz Safety PLC and Mitsubishi PLC would be desirable
  • Experienced fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions 
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems

What would you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

  • Proactive and preventative maintenance
  • Reactive breakdown maintenance
  • Continual improvement projects
  • Ownership and development of specific production line maintenance
  • Supporting and engaging with lean manufacturing
