Electrical Engineer
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am–4:30pm | 40 hrs/week
Salary: £37,000 DOE | Start: Immediate

I am seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a fantastic team, reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop maintenance and PPM systems.

• Design, specify, and install electrical equipment for projects and upgrades.

• Supervise a team of four electricians and oversee contractors.

• Act as Technical Authority on electrical matters, including ATEX and BS60079 compliance.

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all electrical operations.

• Liaise with internal teams and external bodies (e.g., HSE, EA).

• Oversee training and development for electrical staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum RQF Level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3) in Electrical discipline.

• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, including 2+ years in supervision.

• Experience in industrial manufacturing; CompEx (Ex01–06) desirable (can be gained on the job).

• Flexible, hands-on approach to managing complex priorities.
