Reed are working with a leading provider of Audio Visual and Structured Cabling services within the education and commercial sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled Field Installation Engineer to join our installation team. You will be working alongside an experienced Audio Visual Engineer so this is a great opportunity to learn, if you have an interest in this area. If you have previous experience as an Electrical Helper or Data Engineer Helper, that would be advantageous.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Install interactive touch screen displays, IWBs, projectors, Wi-Fi, ceiling and wall-mounted speaker systems, video conferencing, digital signage, sound systems, and control systems in school and commercial environments.
  • Install new and extend existing voice and data cabling infrastructures, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Fibre Cabling techniques.
  • Terminate and test AV and Structured Cabling Systems, ensuring professional standards of quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Professional standards of quality at work, conduct, and personal presentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, with the possibility of overtime and working away from home.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements/regulations.
Experience:
  • Demonstrable working experience and knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: Audio Visual Systems, Structured Cabling, Electrical Installation, IP CCTV, and Door Access systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • CITB SSSTS or equivalent site supervisor safety training.
  • CSR card membership.
  • PASMA certification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Working at height certification.
  • First aid training.
  • Asbestos awareness training.
Education:
  • GCSE or equivalent (Preferred).
