Due to continued growth, we are now seeking to recruit an Electromechanical Fitter to supplement our team at the Sheffield Business.

As a multi-disciplined service provider, we support local industry and infrastructure from our facility in Sheffield with a range of unique rotating machine services; with specialist support available for the Oil and Gas, Marine Steel, Water and Renewables markets.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

In summary your key areas of responsibility will be:-

  • To inspect and disassemble rotating machines including electric motors, gearboxes and pumps, accurately assess and observe damage and wear on AC/DC electric motors and other machines, carry out basic electrical testing to establish machine condition
  • To utilise the milling machines, grinders, lathes, boring machinery and to machine and reverse engineer mechanical parts for motors and generators
  • Metal spraying, balancing and complex turning
  • Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent
  • Previous experience within a Electro Mechanical environment
  • Experience of rotating equipment as well as route cause analyses and measuring
  • Be able to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work
  • Use industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process
  • Must be methodical and accurate
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
