Our esteemed client, a frontrunner in advanced product design and development, is seeking a dedicated individual to bolster their team.

The Role:

As a Test Engineer, you'll step into a pivotal role within a well-established and successful company. Your primary focus will be on meticulously testing a variety of high-quality products to ensure they meet stringent build standards and adhere to precise engineering specifications. Collaborating closely within the Test Team and liaising with other departments—including Mechanical Fitters, Test Engineers, and Engineering—you'll navigate this demanding role in a cutting-edge, modern manufacturing environment, delivering results efficiently within tight timelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of intricate electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Execute fault-finding tasks and propose necessary corrective measures.
  • Oversee Material Review Boards (MRBs) and manage test operations through the company's ERP system.
  • Conduct customer witness factory acceptance tests (FATs) with professionalism.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ideally, you've completed a recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering.
  • Education to at least NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a must.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
  • Competence in utilising electronic test equipment and adhering to complex test specifications.
  • Strong fault-finding skills with a methodical approach, involving others when necessary.
