Overview

Assemble electronics assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Requirements

  • Practical skills working with hand tools
  • Soldering skills
  • Able to use crimp tools

Responsibilities

  • Build sub-assemblies and production assemblies
  • Route wires and install electrical components into assemblies
  • Build cables and various other connectors with up to 20 pin plugs
  • Crimp terminal eyelets to wire end
  • Connect wires to accessories such as terminal points using soldering equipment and hand tools
  • Pot or encapsulate cables / sub-assemblies
  • Carry out work in progress functionality testing of assemblies and sub-assemblies
