Electronics Assemblers

Our client, based in Basingstoke, is currently seeking several temporary cable assemblers/solderers to join their production team due to an increase in orders. These positions offer a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Production Duties:
  • Crimping: Efficiently and accurately perform crimping tasks.
  • Soldering: Solder components into buckets with precision.
  • Cable Assembly: Assemble cables according to specifications.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Technical Drawings: Read and comprehend technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Take responsibility for the quality of your work.
  • Testing: Perform testing on cable assemblies to ensure functionality.
  • Reporting: Report the status of each job/task to the line manager and highlight any potential issues.
  • Problem Solving: Repair and resolve issues related to assemblies.
  • Reworking: Rework assemblies as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of your workspace to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in cable assembly and soldering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Initial contract for 4-6 months, with the possibility of extension based on continued demand and confirmed orders.
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Pay Rates:
  • PAYE: Up to £15.00 per hour
  • Umbrella: Up to £20.00 per hour
