Emerging Market Sovereign Credit Research Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis on sovereign debt and monitor sovereign risk from emerging market issuers
  • Assess economic fundamentals, geopolitical factors, policy making and valuations to determine overall credit worthiness
  • Conduct country analysis and develop in-depth knowledge of economies and markets
  • Work closely alongside Portfolio Manager and communicate research ideas
  • Participate in investment debate with the wider EMD team presenting research on relevant countries and regions
  • Produce research publications for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with other investment teams, as well as Client and Marketing groups to produce content for market commentaries when necessary

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of sovereign research/analysis experience
  • Keen interest in Emerging Markets
  • Solid understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets and public debt instruments
  • Excellent academic background
  • Independent thinker who is intellectually curious and able to operate with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Strong team player mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while providing high quality output
