Employability Skills Tutor

Northwich

£26,780 + fuel allowance

Reed Further Education are working with a Training Provider to recruit some Tutors to join their team ASAP.

The courses are tailored to develop the skills that potential employers are looking for and enable young people to become employable members of society.

This training company provides excellent work experience opportunities, vocational qualifications that support development with discreet and embedded maths and English throug planing the personal and social development of each young person to meet their needs.

They also offer extra support to young people aged 16-18, or aged 19-24 with an Education Health and Care (EHC) plan.


Requirements; Experience;

  • Previous experience designing and delivering employability curriculum.
  • Extensive experience of working with young people, in education, and individuals with SEND/Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of the specific issues relating to the education of people who have learning difficulties/disabilities, sensory, physical impairments or other specific learning difficulties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE A-C/Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Level 3 teaching and or assessing qualification (desirable)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work closely with learners with additional needs to provide tailored support and assistance.
  • Deliver sessions focussed on employability and job skills.
  • Facilitate an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse requirements of students.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to students to help them achieve their potential.

Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 years employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
