Employability Tutor

Join a leading Welfare provider who are looking to grow their Employability delivery team across the Manchester area. 

Key Responsibilities:
Promotion and Recruitment: Actively promote courses and recruit students to maximize occupancy levels.
Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ensure students are enrolled in the appropriate programs and receiving the necessary support.
Planning and Design: Plan and design training programs, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and Apprenticeship Learning Plans. Ensure differentiation in learning to meet individual student needs.
Technology Integration: Effectively use new technologies, including the development of learning programs on SoL-VE and utilizing webinars/Skype to meet market demands. Enhance the learning experience for students through innovative technology.
Training Delivery: Deliver high-quality, engaging training to encourage learner attendance, retention, and achievement.
Health and Safety: Manage the safe evacuation of students during emergencies, following company procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Preparation for Assessments: Prepare students for assignments or exams to maintain high success rates.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track student progress through reviews to ensure high achievement rates.
Feedback and Development: Mark and assess student work, provide structured feedback, and set development objectives.
Moderation and Compliance (HE Tutors Only): Moderate coursework and liaise with external moderators to meet university and awarding body standards and deadlines.
Programme Leadership (HE Tutors Only): Act as Programme Leader for specific awards, overseeing admissions, coordinating tutor resources, representing at exam boards, uploading marks, and evaluating the program.
Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate training programs and implement appropriate improvement actions.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification.
  • Experience in delivering training and educational programs.
  • Strong knowledge of employability skills and workforce development.
  • Proficiency in using educational technologies and virtual learning environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
