Role: Employment Solicitor
Location: Cambridge
Salary: DOE

We, at Simpson Judge are currently working with a national law firm who are looking to bring a dedicated and ambitious Employment solicitor into their team. The ideal candidate will be between 2-6PQE.

This role will involve:

  • Providing guidance to clients regarding their employment law issues, including assisting Claimants with settlement agreements.
  • Representing clients in Tribunal claims at every stage of the process, which entails handling disclosures, drafting witness statements, and attending Tribunal hearings on their behalf.
  • Creating various documents for clients, such as employment contracts, and reviewing and advising on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Staying informed about developments in employment law and preparing updates, as well as delivering training to clients on these changes.
  • Offering support and advice to clients on their employment law concerns, while ensuring exceptional client service is upheld and the clients' objectives are achieved in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

About you:

  • Ideally between 2-6 PQE
  • Capable of handling basic transactions, including those unfamiliar tasks that pose various challenges.
  • Exercises independent judgement, although may require varying levels of oversight depending on the transaction complexity.
  • Recognises the pertinent legal principles within the practice area and applies them effectively.
  • Utilises experience to verify the accuracy of the information received.
