Location: SM1. (Expected to work in the office 3 days a week and the rest worked from home)

Contract Length: 3-6 - month contract with a view to being extended.

Working Hours: Full time - 36 hours per week.

About The Role:

  • The Enabling Independence Officer (OTA) role is based within the Adult Social Care Team, in the Occupational Therapy Hub and Initial Contact Team.
  • It is essential that you have experience of triaging new referrals, completing proportionate telephone assessments and visiting residents in the community; completing functional assessments for equipment and adaptations.
  • You must be competent in strength based clinical assessment and reasoning skills, and have effective written and verbal communication.
  • You will report to the Assistant Team Manager in a busy First Response Team in the Adult Social Care Service.
  • You need to be able to plan, organise and evaluate your own workload; be self-motivated, work well in a team and with other professionals and outside agencies.
  • You will be supervised by an Occupational Therapist, receiving regular supervision and access to informal support and training.
