Excellent opportunity for ambitious Power and Renewables Associates to join one of the largest Energy & Climate Change Groups in the world, at an international, future-facing law firm

About the Role

  • They advise on a wide range of technologies including offshore and onshore wind, interconnectors and networks, energy storage, solar, electric vehicles, hydrogen, nuclear, carbon capture and storage and digitisation of the energy systems.
  • Working alongside a highly experienced and specialised team, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the legal, industry and commercial arrangements across the power and renewables sector and become a subject matter expert.
  • The role will offer you exposure to the full spectrum of areas in this sector, including commercial, regulatory, M&A and projects work.
  • It may also occasionally involve advising in parallel areas such as other utility sectors (gas, water etc).

To support valued clients in the fast-moving energy transition landscape, the firm are looking for candidates with a future facing mind-set, and while the role is London based they are open to alternative models.

We would love to hear from candidates that have:

  • solid experience gained in private practice and/or in-house within the UK or other common law jurisdiction
  • excellent black letter law skills
  • experience drafting and negotiating commercial or project agreements in the sector
  • a commitment to professional development and to becoming a deep sector exper
