Location: Blackpool
Salary: Up to £35k
Hours: Monday - Friday

What you'll be doing…

  • Implement and execute clients' electricity and gas trading strategy.
  • Manage and optimise the energy portfolio.
  • Identify and manage risks related to trading activities, including price volatility and market liquidity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, TPIs, and other market participants.
  • Conduct the tendering process for gas and electricity; produce analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of procurement reporting.
  • Advise clients on the company's procurement services.
  • Integrate and report on renewable assets and PPAs.
  • Support senior team members in formulating strategy, pre-trade analysis, execution, post-trade analysis, allocations, and settlement across multiple strategies.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to meet organisational and legal frameworks.

What I'm looking for…

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate level in an analytical discipline (finance, maths, economics, science) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in trading or a front office role.
  • Solid understanding of energy markets and trading activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with good time management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Mac & Windows OS; advanced Excel and Python skills are a plus.
