We have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Surveyor who is career driven and wants to join a business where their training and development is valued.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dependable and self-motivated individual to join a team of Energy Surveyors who provide Site Decarbonisation Surveys, DECs (Display Energy Certificates), EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) and other services to a wide range of public sector customers. Our Energy Surveyors establish strong working relationships with our customers and provide a high quality service, generating certificates and providing energy and carbon management advice.

If you have a DEC or EPC accreditation that would be great, however we would also like to speak to candidates who have a relevant degree or prior surveying experience in another sector. This role also gives the opportunity for both personal and professional development and gives the successful candidate a chance to make a real impact on the environment and on climate change..
The majority of the work will be in the Southeast of England and London, however wider national travel and occasional overnight stays may be needed to meet customer requirements, please consider this before making your application.

Key duties-
Organise and carry out site surveys in public sector buildings such as offices, schools, hospitals, and clinics.
Collect and process the data required to produce DEC, Recommendation Reports and EPCs using accredited software. Ensure certificates are produced to a standard that is both acceptable to the relevant accreditation body and meets customers’ expectations.
Carry out Site Decarbonisation Surveys for our customers, identifying energy and carbon saving opportunities and produce easy to read reports with both graphical and written content.
Manage relationships with clients via telephone, email, and face to face, upholding the highest level of customer service when representing LASER.
Take responsibility for the commercial aspects, these include, costing work, ensuring quotations are appropriate for the task and delivering a high standard of service.
Help promote the energy surveying service and LASER’s other services to potential new clients.
What we need from you –
Although DEC or EPC accreditation would be desirable, we would also be happy to speak to individuals with building or surveying experience or University Graduates with a relevant degree
The ideal Energy Surveyor will be analytically minded with excellent attention to detail.
Must be comfortable using a range of IT systems and packages, therefore must be confident using Microsoft office packages to compile written reports
Reliability and organisational skills are an essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated as they will be managing their own workload and diary
Full clean driving license
Willing to travel and stay overnight for work reasons
