Reed are working with one of the UK’s largest providers of social housing to recruit an Engagement and Activities Partner to join their Supported Living function in Swindon, delivering specialist and quality community and accommodation-based services.

The role involves developing and delivering creative group work and activities that enhance the opportunities for our customers to learn new skills, improve their employability, recover from trauma, and grow as citizens of their local community.

They are looking for a passionate individual who can create and grow partnerships and focus on customer engagement.

Engagement and Activities Partner

  • Full-time, 40hrs per week
  • Swindon, Wiltshire
  • £12/hr, equivalent to £24,960 per annum

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Develop and deliver a programme of creative group work and activities tailored to the support needs of our customers.
  • Champion Equality/Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and ensure personalised responses to individual needs.
  • Monitor, record, and report on the outcomes of group work, contributing to the organisation’s Social Return on Investment (SROI) reporting.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local organisations to enhance opportunities for our customers.
  • Develop community links to engage with resources and groups beneficial to the organisation’s customers.
  • Work with the Employability and Volunteering Strategic Lead to promote opportunities available through national partners.
  • Co-produce our programme of activities and opportunities with our customers to ensure they are customer-led.
  • Support local teams in developing resources and collaborate to meet customer needs.
  • Enhance activity delivery, including the use of digital platforms and ‘engage at any time’ activities.
  • Encourage customers to become active citizens in their local community.
  • Deliver cross-generational opportunities in partnership with our local Retirement Living services.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Social Media teams to promote the work of the Supported Living Team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with customers with support needs in the support or care sector.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering co-produced activities and workshops for their client groups.
  • Ability to build reciprocal partnerships across various providers, charities, and statutory bodies.
  • Experience supporting positive outcomes in a person-centred and trauma-informed way.
  • Understanding of effective safeguarding practices and risk management.
  • Innovative and adaptable in putting new ideas into practice.
  • Empathetic approach to service delivery with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and concurrent projects.
  • Sensitivity to diversity and openness to the perspectives of others.
  • Commitment to co-production and EDI.
