Volunteer and Engagement Officer
Based in Gloucestershire with Remote working

  • 30 hours per week
  • NJC 15 (£27,803 pro rata)

The Role:

The Volunteer and Engagement Officer will provide training, recruitment and support to a diverse group of core volunteers who help us deliver our vision of a proactive Healthwatch service, including engagement activity and project work.

Our team are creative, passionate, effective and caring. We are seeking someone who will help us learn and grow alongside us.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management and leading the recruitment, training, induction, co-ordination and motivation of our Volunteers
  • Arranging, coordinating and delivering volunteer led, community based activities
  • Carrying out risk assessments, supervisions, wellbeing check ins and regular development days
  • Setting up surveys and carry out project work, including writing reports with recommendations
  • Co-ordinating, supporting and attending events


The Person:

The ideal candidate for TCF is flexible, friendly, and understanding, with a focus on outcomes, amplifying voices, and tackling inequality.

Experience:

  • 2+ years in health and social care voluntary sector
  • Planning and facilitating meetings and events
  • Empowering and supporting individuals with learning impairments and young people
  • Developing and monitoring services
  • Recruiting and leading volunteers or staff
  • Excellent IT skills (office tasks, publicity materials, database management)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Teamwork and initiative within service boundaries
