Mechanical Engineer


Hours: Full time, permanent
Location: Milton Keynes, MK13 8NP
Salary: £negotiable - based on previous experience


About the Role:

Our client, Daytona Milton Keynes, is currently looking to enhance their Engineering Team and requires a full-time/part-time, flexible mechanic for their 7-day operational business. The successful candidate will be required to carry out all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of their kart fleet, ensuring the workshop is kept safe and tidy at all times. You must ensure all targets are met and that you are able to work to tight deadlines. This position will report directly to the Head of Engineering.


Key Success Criteria:

  • Mechanical experience within the corporate/race kart or motorsport sectors.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays.
  • Ability to follow instructions quickly and effectively.
  • Highly motivated and able to work well in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining the karts to the highest standards of safety.
  • Ability to work unassisted and ensure all targets are met without fail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date on a daily basis and completed correctly within the required timescales.
  • Maintenance-level mechanical and engineering experience.
  • Applicants MUST have their own tools and be willing to purchase any tools required to carry out daily maintenance on the karts.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable in their approach to work.
