Job Title: Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to work closely with the Directors of the business to oversee our engineering team and drive projects to successful completion, as part of a succession planning strategy

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex technical projects.

It is also essential that you have experience within the rail / passenger transport sector.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure project success

- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders

- Create and review technical documentation including schematics, logic controllers, and system designs

- Apply knowledge to solve engineering challenges and improve product performance

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement

- Oversee the testing and validation of engineering solutions to meet quality standards

Qualifications:

Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred, with experience of traction power engineering and power distribution

- Proven experience in a managerial role within an engineering environment

- Proficiency in engineering software tools

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget

The role involves working at our clients' sites and the occasional meeting at HO.
