We are pleased to be working with a Motor Engineering services company based in Ipswich who are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their growing team.

You will be responsible for managing an engineering team of multi-skilled staff as well as the day-to-day operations. When SLAs are not being met, you will be responsible for rectifying the issues by implementing a plan for improvement.

Key Duties:

  • Recruit and train new employees.
  • Manage staff to support them with completing tasks.
  • Conduct performance reviews with staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Coaching, counselling and disciplining employees.
  • Create departmental targets and goals.
  • Clarifying department and individual expectations.
  • Problem solving and dealing with customer/client complaints.
  • Process new authorisations within agreed timescales.

Previous Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within an engineering team/operational management.
  • MI reporting for both internal and external purposes with the ability to analyse data.
  • Personable and approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applying good negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
