Title: Seeking an Engineering Project Engineer for a Thriving Capital Machinery & Mechanical Handling Firm

Introduction:
Are you seeking to take your engineering expertise to the next level? Our client, a leading Capital Process Machinery & Mechanical Handling EPC in Cradley Heath, United Kingdom is looking for an experienced Engineering Project Engineer. This permanent position offers £50000 salary with additional benefits.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering Degree - The ideal candidate should possess at least Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent qualification from recognized institutions.

Skills Required for Project Engineer Role:

  • Project Engineering / Management - Ability to manage projects of different sizes ranging from £500k-£40m project value using MS Projects software.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, delivering Mechanical Projects (ideally EPC, but other Design, Manufacture & Delivery project experience will be conidered (Aerospace, Construction, Mechanical Handling, Machinery etc)
  • Financial Reporting - Knowledgeable about financial reporting procedures such as budget preparation and analysis
  • Experience of managing full project lifecycle, from management of complete contract from design through to commissioning & acceptance, ensuring satisfactory completion achieving profit margin and schedule.
  • Project experience within a regulated industry background (Heavy Industry, Oil & Gas, PetroChemical, Pharma, Nuclear, Capital Equipment, Aerospace etc) / delivering Capital / Mechanical / Process Projects against Engineering Standards / Codes
  • Experience of working in a Customer-Facing environment, delivering capital projects on-time, to agreed cost & specification
  • Prior experience of managing project budgets, including cost tracking & financial reporting
  • Experience of managing subcontractors / contracts (including procurement)
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary project teams (Electrical, Automation & Mechanical Design, Commissioning etc) and subcontractors / sub-contract activities (including Procurement)
  • Experience of managing multiple projects at any one time (Circa 3-4)


Responsibilities Include but not Limited To;

  • Collaborating with other departments including design engineers, sales team etc., regarding product feasibility studies
  • Supervising implementation phases while ensuring strict adherence to established guidelines by conducting site visits frequently.
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation are collected before commencing work activities
  • Liaison between clients' representatives and company's personnel throughout the entire duration of their respective projects

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ENGINEERING PROJECT ENGINEER ROLE IS A STAFF POSITION AND TRAVEL GLOBALLY IS REQUIRED DURING VARIOUS STAGES OF PROJECT LIFECYCLE.


For the successful Engineering Project Engineer, a salary of circa £50k is on offer (plus hybrid working) and this Engineering Project Engineer role is commutable from Birmingham, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Wolverhampton, Hagley, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Cradley Heath, Wombourne and Halesowen.
