Role Overview: We are seeking a Project Manager to support our Defence Programmes team. You will manage a variety of projects, ensuring successful execution and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams or work streams.
- Handle budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Manage contract deliverables, subcontracts, and SMEs.
- Chair meetings, take minutes, and write reports.
- Support bid preparation and resource management.
- Ensure quality processes align with ISO standards.
- Build and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Promote continuous improvement and share knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in project/programme management within engineering.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other infrastructure projects.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Experience with UK Government organisations, especially defence, is beneficial.
- Degree in a relevant subject and project management certification (PRINCE2, APM, etc.) ideal.
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control and ISO environments.
- Good understanding of Safety & Environmental management.
