Job Title: Engineering Supervisor

Location: Leicester

Salary: up to £53,000

Job Type: Permanent

The Role

Our client is a well-established, fast growing food manufacturer. The successful candidate will be in charge of the development of the team as well as taking the initiative to strategise for your team. The successful candidate will work a 4-on-4-off days shift pattern.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To co-ordinate all activities related to Engineering which will include contractors.
  • To project manage all Engineering Capex improvements.
  • To effectively document and record keep (inductions, return to work interviews, etc.)
  • To order all required stock in accordance with the budget.
  • To take an active role within auditing the site and ensuring that Engineering, as a function, is up to company standard.
  • To train all team members, as well as helping their development including monthly one to ones and appraisals also.

The Candidate/Qualifications

  • Proven experience of Engineering within the food industry.
  • To have knowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • To work logically and methodically, ensuring a continuous problem resolving approach.
  • Experience of leading a team within an Engineering environment.
  • To take a flexible approach toward working over-time to ensure the company is performing above standards.
