Location: Crewe (Office)

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), part-time applications considered

Contract: Permanent

About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Engineer Tutor to join the team. The role involves coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing students, supporting apprentices to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for their apprenticeship. This includes both classroom and workshop teaching, as well as guidance and mock end-point assessments to prepare apprentices for their independent assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct teaching sessions in both classroom and workshop environments.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners, ensuring regular learner interventions.
  • Capture and record learning evidence, achievements, and Ofsted requirements timely and effectively.
  • Use online platform to set and track targets for knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Create individualized learning programs incorporating initial assessments, math, and English.
  • Engage and collaborate with learners' line managers to provide support, guidance, and learning opportunities.
  • Plan end-point assessment processes with learners and employers, ensuring adequate preparation.
  • Inspire, motivate, and adapt to learners' needs, overcoming barriers to their progress.
  • Drive learners to achieve qualifications on time.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • Relevant occupational sector experience and qualifications (Level 3 or higher in Engineering).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching and engaging teaching.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Strong planning abilities, attention to detail, and experience in achieving KPIs and strategic aims.
  • Proactive in driving learner performance and engagement.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to present positively, persuade, and influence.
