English Teacher Bolton - September start
A dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Bolton to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from September until February half term, with a possibility of it being extended to Easter 25. It is essential that you hold QTS & are able to commit to the role in its entirety.
This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Bolton teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. Both Ancient History and Latin are taught up to GCSE. The school have a key focus on an investigative approach that compliments their well-researched pedagogy. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.
Leaders have introduced a system to promote pupils positive behaviour, which is applied consistently by staff. This means that learning is rarely disrupted. This shows the schools strong focus on positive behaviour management. Leaders identify the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) effectively. Teachers are well trained to support pupils with SEND to learn alongside their peers. This shows the schools strong focus on every child counts and making sure education can be accessed by all.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (desirable, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
