We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school team at a Northampton-based school. This is a permanent position offering the chance to inspire young minds and ignite a love for language and literature!

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (ages 11-16).
  • Foster students' literacy skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love for the English language.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diverse voices and perspectives.
  • Support and guide students about their academic development and personal growth.

Who You Are:

  • A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECT's welcome).
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field (e.g., Literature, Communication).
  • Possess recent experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
