Join our exceptional school in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, as an English Teacher starting from September! We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join a popular and well run Academy and contribute to our students' language and literacy development.

English Teacher - Full-Time Role, Monday to Friday, 8am - 3:30pm - Stevenage, Hertfordshire - Competitive Salary - Temporary to Permanent Position - Oftsted 'Good' Academy with Excellent Facilities and Support for Staff

We are proud to be working with an outstanding Academy situated in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally. We are now looking for an English Teacher who can inspire and engage our students with their love for the English language.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English to students at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
  • Ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
