  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, encourages participation, and builds self-esteem.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in professional development and training to develop your teaching skills and knowledge of alternative education and SEN (Special Educational Needs) support.
  • Engage in reflective practice and seek feedback to continuously improve your teaching methods.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in English or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or supportive capacity is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the unique challenges of teaching in an alternative provision setting.
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and a commitment to reflective practice.
  • Early careers teacher or unqualified with experience with SEMH students
  • Strong behaviour managment skills

Desirable:

  • Working towards or considering obtaining a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with multi-agency teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches in education.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Comprehensive training and mentoring to support your development as a teacher.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and progression.
