English Teacher – Alternative Provision
QTS English Teacher required to teach classes of no more than 8 children at an excellent alternative provision. This brilliant alternative provision is looking for a qualified English Teacher to join the team and teach small classes of students who have struggled to engage in mainstream education. This role requires and English Teacher with strung subject knowledge, who is a calm and empathetic communicator. 

The school provides an excellent education for students who have been excluded form mainstream school and gives every child a second chance. As an English Teacher you will be encouraged to “think outside the box” and deliver lessons that are tailored to your classes. You will be joining an established team of teachers at a school with very low staff turnover. Strong behaviour management skills are essential for this role; however, you will receive on call support from an experienced pastoral team. Joining this school you will receive several benefits, including reduced timetable, early finish on a Friday, and staff wellbeing days.
Job Role:
  • Teaching across the English curriculum to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Leading GCSE English booster sessions for students that require additional support
  • Working with an excellent pastoral / leadership team to improve engagement
  • Breaking down barriers to education and making English accessible to all students
