Experienced English Teacher at SEND Secondary School in Skelmersdale

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a client SEND Secondary School in Skelmersdale to find a dedicated and experienced English Teacher. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and will extend until the end of the summer term, with a possibility of continuing into the new academic year.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive teaching environment, where their expertise will help shape the educational journey of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to create a holistic and inclusive educational experience for all students.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience teaching English.
  • Experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students. Candidates with experience in other key stages will also be considered.
  • Prior experience teaching in an SEMH/SEND school (preferred but not essential).
  • Availability to start immediately.
