Position: English Teacher
Location: Southampton, UK
Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher in Southampton. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging and innovative teaching methods, promoting a love for English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the English curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that respects and values diversity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration.
  • Experience working with SEND.

  • A passion for literature and language, with the ability to inspire students.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching techniques and technology in the classroom.
  • A proactive approach to engaging with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
