We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join on a full-time basis, starting from September 2024 and continuing until the end of the academic year. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire a love for English in their students. You will play a vital role in shaping young minds, helping them develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of English, including Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities - English Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and challenged.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements - English Teacher:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an alternative, equivalent qualification
  • Have experience teaching English to KS4 level
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English
  • Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Have legal right to work in the UK
