English Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our supportive and collaborative school, rated “Good” by Ofsted. The successful candidate will be committed to educational excellence and have a strong background in teaching English within the UK classroom setting.

Day to day of the role:

• Teach English to students in classes of up to 30, ensuring that each student is engaged and making progress.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and needs.
• Prepare students for exams, ensuring familiarity with various exam boards and their requirements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their best.
• Utilise a variety of texts and stories to enhance students’ learning experiences and foster a love for English.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student development and contribute to school initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching English in UK classrooms.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Familiarity with exam boards and curriculum requirements.
• Right to work in the UK (please note this position does not offer sponsorship).
