This Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school is seeking a teacher of English on a full-time basis. The school is in the borough of Greenwich walking distance of a range of transport link shops and amenities.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND ENGLISH TEACHING ROLE :

  • A medium-size secondary school
  • English teacher will teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Supportive team and a strong leader
  • Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
  • Supportive yet high-energy atmosphere
  • This is a full-time position including planning and marking


THE RIGHT ENGLISH TEACHER WILL BE:

  • Confident with teaching GCSE English
  • Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box


THE SUCCESSFUL ENGLISH TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Degree relating to English
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
  • A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
  • Salary paid to scale - GBP180 - GBP220 per day Inner London pay
  • QTS/ECT English Teacher
  • Able to show a real love for your subject
  • Happy to work with solid direction from a fabulous leadership team
  • Used to working on your own initiative to solve the day-to-day challenges that arise
  • Be able to plan and deliver innovative lessons with links to other core subjects
  • Happy to go the extra mile in support of your students
  • Able to work with students to achieve great results
  • Be an inspirational teacher and a positive role model
