Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

Are you a recent geology, geoscience, environmental, civil or geotechnical engineering graduate looking to kickstart your career in the ground investigation industry? This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level geotechnical engineer to join a Ground Investigation specialist consultancy. The role provides excellent prospects for thorough training, support and career development, with no experience required.

The successful Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer will be working on site and in office on a wide variety of ground investigation projects. The position entails supervising drilling rigs, writing factual and interpretive reports, carrying out Phase 1 Desktop studies and Phase 2 investigations, soil and rock logging and groundwater and gas monitoring. Close attention to details and willingness to learn techniques is essential.

To be considered for the Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer role you will:

  • Have a degree in geotechnical engineering, applied/engineering geology or civil engineering (with a focus on ground investigation and soil mechanics), geoscience or a similar relevant subject.
  • Live in or near to Nottingham.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel for work.
  • Be willing to show enthusiasm to learn and apply knowledge.
  • Have the full right to work in the UK.
