Environmental Consultant Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee contaminated land projects, including spill response, site investigation, remediation, and validation.
  • Health and Safety: Develop risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans, and COSHH assessments.
  • Field Work: Supervise and direct site investigations, remediation, and validation efforts.
  • Sampling & Analysis: Conduct soil, water, and air sampling; schedule and interpret laboratory analyses.
  • Financial Management: Prepare cost estimates, control budgets, and handle invoicing.
  • Reporting: Create factual and interpretative reports, including risk assessments and remedial strategies.
  • Client Relations: Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Contractor Management: Prepare specifications, manage procurement, and evaluate contractors.
  • Compliance: Adhere to the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • An educational background in geosciences or environmental science or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with CAD-based drawing packages and project management software.
  • Professional demeanour and conduct, representing the company positively in all interactions.
