Environmental Engineer

Our client has UK wide and overseas fuel storage operations. They are responsible for new Engineering projects and ongoing operations and maintenance on these COMAH regulated sites.

Due to ongoing expansion of their business they are seeking an Environmental Engineer.

This is a Remote role with significant travel to sites in the UK and Overseas.

Salary: £45-50,000 + 15% Pension scheme + generous annual leave.

Key aspects of the role -

• Technical support to ensure compliance in areas such as land, water, waste water treatment, hazardous and non hazardous materials.
• Main point of contact for all environmental issues
• Responsible for developing Environmental strategy
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of permits
• Working with operations to ensure compliance

Experience required

• BSc degree in Environmental subject
• Regulatory environmental engineerin or consulting experience
• Experience of MATEs/MAHs and how these relate to tank storage
• Knowledge of COMAH
• CDOIF Environmental Risk Assessments.
• Trainer qualification/experience - desirable
