We are looking for an experienced Environmental Monitoring Assistant for an immediate start ongoing temporary assignment based in Mid Wales.
Working within the Environmental Assessment and Advice Team you will assist in providing environmental monitoring, assessment advice and reporting, for the fisheries monitoring and sampling disciplines.
This role will support in the provision of monitoring, assessment, advice and reporting. It will involve the following:

This is a full-time field-based role and you will be required to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Rate of pay is £14.32 per hour.
Working within the Environmental Assessment and Advice Team you will assist in providing environmental monitoring, assessment advice and reporting, for the fisheries monitoring and sampling disciplines.
This role will support in the provision of monitoring, assessment, advice and reporting. It will involve the following:
- Carrying out environmental monitoring - electric fishing and/or water quality sampling.
- Collating, validating and inputting monitoring data and other monitoring evidence into proprietary software and data storage applications.
- Assisting with monitoring survey work and data collection to deliver monitoring programmes, as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Practical experience of monitoring in the freshwater environment, especially electric fishing and water quality sampling.
- Good knowledge of IT systems is desirable to include ArcMap, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- Full clean driving licence and the ability to swim is essential for this role.
