Environmental Specialist

Environmental Specialist required. My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire an Environmental Specialist to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in Environmental management, will be familiar with ISO:14001 & ISO:50001, will be have strong understanding of key environmental legislation and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.

• Identify new business opportunities to improve the environmental management system
• Managing the business's environmental management program
• Provide guidance and support on environmental legislation
• Manage waste minimisation for both sites
• Championing environmental improvements via the Asset plan and CapEx programs
• Internal improvements on 12 principles of green chemistry
• Ecovardis reviews and assessments

• Degree qualified in Environment Management or Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical industry
• Working knowledge of key environmental legislation
• Strong knowledge of abatement systems and techniques
• Auditing experience
• Knowledge of ISO:14001
• Knowledge of ISO:50001 Energy Management
• Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

• Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 / 09:00 - 17:00
• 33 Days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
