Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
Location: West Midlands
Salary: up to £55k DOE. 
  
JGA are partnered with British transport company, who are seeking an experienced ER Advisor.
  
The ER Advisor balances a reactive caseload with a proactive approach to reducing issues and delivering appropriate interventions, guiding managers on the best practices to people management.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first line employee relations advice to managers and employees.
  • Accurate advice with regards to disciplinary, grievance, absence management and family friendly policies.
  • Manage queries and communicate outcomes clearly.
  • Support and coach line managers to effectively resolve ER matters.
  • Take a proactive role in continuous improvement projects.
Skills required:
  • CIPD qualified.
  • Experience in a similar position as a HR/People/ER Advisor.
  • Previous experience in a complex and unionised environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a fast paced and challenging environment.
