We have a fantastic opportunity for security workers at HMP Erlestoke. The prison is based in Devizes, Whiltshire and is a category C male prison with a capacity of 524 men. HMP Erlestoke has a focus on rehabilitation and intervention programmes with the majority of inmates serving sentences of 4 years or more.
Your new role
Working as a Security Escort, you will be responsible for escorting/assisting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison for a variety of different projects.

Duties will include:

• Full body searches for contractors as they enter the prison.
• Tool checks.
• Patrols.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are achieved across the contract.
• Attention to detail when monitoring work.

Working hours

• Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 with an hour's unpaid lunch.
• You will be working on an ongoing temporary basis.

Rates of Pay

• Premium Rate: £13.10 (inclusive of holiday)
• Weekday Overtime: £17.41 (inclusive of holiday)
• Weekend Overtime: £22.92 (inclusive of holiday)

What you'll need to succeed
You will not require previous experience as you will receive full-on-job training. You will need to be a strong communicator, level-headed and security conscious. You must be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be required to provide 2 satisfactory references and will be subject to full prison clearance.
