Estimator

Our client is a leading North West business who supply building and flooring materials for the construction industry and work closely with a range of Tier 1 construction companies. Types of projects that they support with are residential, schools and offices. A new position has become available to work as an Estimator and reporting to a Senior Estimator based in Liverpool.

They are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator who can support their North West Estimating team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the process and work for winning business. This will involve managing the tender files, obtaining supplier prices, maintaining effective communication with clients. This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to complete quotations and the willingness to collaborate with Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.

Key duties:

• Setting up and maintaining tender files, inputting all order information and addressing any missing information
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain prices
• Quantifying drawings using specialised software to produce measures on materials
• Producing quotations and drafting supporting cover letters for submission to clients for analysis
• Following up priced tenders with clients to find out if they have been successful
• Maintaining tender log spreadsheets and ensuring up to date with live tenders

You will also need to have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, be procifient in Microsoft Excel and excellent relationship-building skills, we would like to hear from you!
